1. Gold is your first priority
When you are on a mission in Matchmaker Legacy of War, you want to focus on having enough gold to train more units. This means creating more miners in order to bring back more gold to your coffers. In the early stages, we recommend starting with about two or three (meaning only one extra miner) and increasing that to three or four once the battle starts to heat up. This way, you can be sure to have a steady inflow of gold.
2. When should I go on the offensive?
A rookie mistake I made was to follow the tutorial and send two of my club members on the first mission to destroy the statue. Regardless of the level, all you should do is wait until you have created at least ten to twelve units. Now, in many cases, the enemy will send a stick unit and you must continue to defend, but if you are able to form a unit of ten to twelve units, then you can send them and take action. Their statues will crack first.
3. Make sure you have a balanced formation
Whether you are preparing to attack the enemy or defend against a counterattack, you should always maintain a balanced mix of units. This means having melee warriors in front (sword fury, spearmen, etc.) and long-range warriors in the back (archers, etc.). The front fighters can absorb damage while sending it directly to enemy units and their statues, while the back fighters can take care of the enemy from a long distance while being protected from attacks. In a game like this, this is a common sense tip, but still worth mentioning.
4. Retreat when melee fighters are almost depleted
Now you can crack on the enemy statue on the first attack. Eventually, however, you will notice that your melee fighters are dwindling and will naturally be taken by enemy melee units or their castle archers. Once this happens, do not stick them out there and try to destroy the statue further. Retreat back to your castle and in the meantime train more units to replenish your lost soldiers. The last thing you want is for the enemy to deal a blow to your long-range troops. After all, these units are more expensive and take longer to train than the basic melee fighters!
5. Always watch ad videos after winning levels
Playing Stick War Legacy with Internet enabled is really worth it. At the end of the level there are no annoying, annoying ads to deal with, but rather ad videos to watch. As long as there are ad videos to be placed, watching them will instantly double your gem income. Of course, gems are the game's premium currency, and you can use them to buy more spells.
6. What should you upgrade in the armory?
Besides gems, you can earn upgrade points after completing missions/levels in the game. You can use upgrade points to improve all different equipment, if you ask us what is the main upgrade focus, we will have to do remote equipment upgrades as well as defensive upgrades. You want the arrows of your long-range fighters to be as sharp as possible so they can quickly destroy the enemy, and as far as defense is concerned, you know how the saying goes - the best offense is always a good defense. That being said, you should still maintain a good balance in most upgrades by placing the lowest priority on statue lifesteal first. As long as you are able to follow the above tips for smart combat, your statue will not be at risk of substantial enemy attacks.
