How to Play

Collect orbs and use your sprinting abilities

Long-time Sonic the Hedgehog players know that collecting rings is important, but in Sonic Dash 2, blue spheres play an important part in the gameplay. Collecting these items creates a sprint bar at the top of the screen, and when it's full, double-tap to activate your character's sprint ability, which lets you dash through enemies and objects (trees, bombs) without penalty.

Keep in mind that this is temporary invincibility and it is easy to die when it wears off. Keep a close eye on the Dash and be prepared to regain full control when it is almost empty. For this reason, it is best to plan your next move before Dash is completely depleted.

Collect as many gold rings as you can

Of course, you should grab the gold rings whenever you get the chance. If something happens to you, having even one ring in your character's inventory can prevent the game from ending. In addition, you can buy gold ring upgrades, while red star rings let you keep running (these are hard to get, so use them carefully) and buy new characters.

Tip: Don't waste the red star ring. If you end up experiencing the game with a low score, end the current run and start again. Save the Red Star Ring for a rainy day or to unlock other heroes.

Walk the intersection

The best way to collect gold rings is to travel along junctions. These alternative routes allow you to go right or left through the caves. Entering a junction will automatically "store" the number of rings currently collected on the run, meaning you won't lose them if your character takes damage. In addition, you have the option to switch characters to take advantage of their signature abilities. Do this if you want to change things up a bit, or if you think a hero's ability is perfect for a harder part of the game.

Activate sprites for in-game rewards

These magical creatures grant your character special abilities. Some are one-time use, while others Sega marks as forever, as you can utilize these sprites at any time. For example, Synth is a one-time use sprite that causes the combo duration to be extended by two seconds. Legs, on the other hand, is a Forever sprite that extends your Dash duration by 10%. To activate a sprite, simply click on the desired creature.

Better yet, you can spend Gold Rings to upgrade the sprite. Upgrading Legs multiple times means that our Dash lasts 40% longer than its original form.

How do you get new sprites in Sonic Dash 2? You have to spend Red Star Rings to find more, and you can only do it every few hours.

Tip: You can sell unwanted sprites for gold rings, but you won't always receive much in return.
