The game combines role-playing, real-time strategy and world-building mechanics. Its gameplay includes several game modes, the most notable of which is PVP combat. Players develop their own bases and raise an army in order to attack enemy bases, destroying them, capturing resources and capturing enemy leaders. Normally, players can only attack enemies from their own kingdoms, but during Kingdom Wars (KvK), all servers (excluding new servers) are subject to attack. Players can attack monsters and other world leaders (Dark Lairs) that periodically appear on the kingdom map in order to take resources from them. In addition to the usual attacks, players can also participate in contests whose purpose is to capture locations on the map in order to earn bonuses for themselves or the guilds they belong to.

The game also features several other game modes.

Heroic Levels - PvE mode, where players use unique heroes to tackle a series of challenges. Completing stages earns players new heroes, hero experience, and materials for hero equipment.

Colosseum - PvP mode, where players choose up to five heroes and battle another player's pre-selected heroes. Victory brings Hero experience and a higher ranking in the Roman Colosseum rankings. The game's premium currency, Gems, is awarded based on the player's ranking.

Maze - PvE mode, where players can challenge monsters to claim various resources and accelerated items. Sometimes, players may win big prizes on Gems.

Kingdom Tycoon - PvE mode, where players use Luck tokens to roll dice and move forward until they reach the end of the map. Players will get different resources, items and even chests on the way, and finally a Grimlin made of gems, which they have a chance to win a gem prize.

The game requires the development of tactical and strategic ideas for attack and defense. The player should not only know the heroes who will take part in the battle and what kind of equipment to wear, but should also be able to make quick decisions related to the current situation. Capturing positions (e.g. Miracles) in many ways requires coordinated actions of multiple players of a guild.
