Earn gold through quests, collecting from the dragon's habitat and winning on the battlefield. Experience, on the other hand, is mainly gained when completing quests and can help you upgrade your dragon and unlock more dragons. In Dragon City, breeding will be your main method of gaining more dragons. Choose two of the ten types and breed them. The characteristics and traits of their offspring will be based on those of their parent. That said, there are still some variables at play that can lead to dragons having offspring that differ from their parents - feel free to try different combinations and you may be lucky enough to create powerful new dragons through breeding.
At first ground dragons will be ideal to use as they can generate gold quickly from their habitat. However, if you are a player who only plays for short periods throughout the day, then water dragons may be a better choice as their habitats usually have excellent reserves of gold if you wait a little while. On the other hand, legendary dragons are the most powerful dragons when taking part in dragon battles.
You can build several buildings in Dragon City, but the hatchery and habitat and the farm must be upgraded first. The Hatchery is where you hatch your dragon's eggs, the Habitat is where the dragons live and earn gold, and the Farm produces food to feed your dragons.
Whether you are playing in the battle world or in stadium battles, dragons will have four basic moves and different elemental stats, which may result in attacks dealing more damage or halving the damage dealt. In most cases, a dragon with high life will have a poorer attack stat, while a dragon with lower HP will have a higher attack stat.
